La última semana del semestre--el 21 de enero

Here is a link to conjuguemos.com for a list of all present tense subjunctive verbs. https://conjuguemos.com/chart.php?language=spanish&id=22&etre=no&commands=no&source=public&all=no

Please complete the following worksheet for a basis of discussion for class on Tuesday.
https://conjuguemos.com/activity.php?print=yes&id=50&source=public    (only 15 verbs to fill in)

With the SUBJUNCTIVE... You should always ask if there is any doubt or uncertainty. If the sentence contains the verbs "creer," "saber," "no dudo que," the sentence will be conjugated in the present tense as we have always done before, but if there is any doubt like the following WEDDING acronym, you will use the subjunctive form of the verb.

  • Wish/Want (querer, desear, preferir, and so on)
  • Emotion (alegrarse, sorprenderse, enojarse, and so on)
  • Doubt (dudar, no estar seguro, and so on)
  • Denial (negar)
  • Impersonal Expressions (Es importante, bueno, malo, necesario, and so on)
  • Negation (No + verbos como creer, pensar)
  • God (ojalá)
THIS IS STILL BEGINNING! WE WILL BE BETTER AT IT LATER! IT'S A PLACE TO CONTINUE.

Your written assignment in groups will be used and scored as a final for the class. This testing practice is so critical for IB students, and the test at the end of February will form 20% of the overall IB score for Spanish.

THANKS FOR ALL YOUR WORK ON THE WRITTEN PROJECT!!! I have been very impressed with the level of work and a few of you have really taken leadership in your groups. ¡Bien hecho!

IF YOU ARE ABSENT FOR THE DAYS OF WORK YOU WILL NEED TO MAKE IT UP. This is your final! Hasta pronto.
